The Bussola Institute is an independent, not-for-profit, non-governmental research institute, established as a bridge to provide better understanding and greater cooperation between the countries of the Gulf and the European Union.
Bussola operates on the basis of a strictly independent mission to generate and share impartial information and knowledge that fosters improved understanding and promotes stronger Gulf-European relations through rigorous research and objective analysis.
The Bussola Institute’s programme of research and engagement is based on the three interdisciplinary, interlinked core pillars that support EU-Gulf relationships: Politics and Security, Economics and Technology and Culture and Society.
One of the Bussola’s areas of focus, under the institute’s Culture and Society pillar, has been on the impact of education, particularly for women and young people, where there is significant potential for greater regional cooperation between Europe and the Gulf.
