H.E Zaki Al Nusseibeh

H.E. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh is Cultural Adviser to His Highness (H.H.) Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University. H.E. Nusseibeh's government service began in the 1960s as personal interpreter and adviser to H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan, founding President of the UAE, and he has since played a pioneering role in developing infrastructure, vision, and governance across communications, culture, and heritage. 

His career highlights include being inaugural Director of the UAE Federal Ministry of Information, Vice President of the Board of Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, Minister of State in the UAE Government, and establishing the Office of Public and Cultural Diplomacy in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.     

H.E. holds a master's degree from Queens College - Cambridge, and a Ph.D. (Hon. Causa) from Al Quds Arab University – Jerusalem. He has received many distinguished international awards and national orders of merit in recognition of his public service and works within arts and cultural diplomacy, including the UAE Order of the Union medal (2021) and Cultural Diplomat of the Year at Abu Dhabi Cultural Summit (2017).
